Day 50

Here's a great find that I picked up from a branch of TKMaxx back in Bournemouth during my student years, if memory serves.
It marks the 50th consecutive day of non-repeated T-shirt wearing for my challenge, which I'm happy to report is still progressing nicely.

This tee is pretty basic; it's grey, comfy, a little on the large side, and sports an illustrated Billabong logo in the middle of the chest section. The text of the logo is black and white and has a clear horizontal division across the middle that inverts the monochromatic profile of the rest of text below it. The 'wave' emblem of the logo sits above the text portion and is partially obscured by excessive drips and splashes, popular with most of the skate/surf T-shirt designs produced at the time.

The majority of my attire during my student experience (and indeed today) was heavily comprised of brands like Billabong, owing to their ready availability down in the seaside landscapes of Dorset. Sun, sand and a student loan all ensured that I stayed dressed like a surfer, and never attempted to become one. Someone, somewhere, has earned their marketing stripes.
