Day 106

There will come a time when human kind transcends the need to exist in a physical plain and will instead reside entirely in a virtual reality of our own creation.
It will be a heavily branded corporate enterprise, designed to suppress rational thought and eliminate free will.
It will be the kind of place that Charlie Brooker has prophesied, except perhaps with less bunny costumes.

The dwellers of such a place will obediently consume their digital prescription of electronic, mass-produced, pop music and will never recall the care-free rebellious sound of the late 20th Century music scene. The rock legends will have become just that - legends. Their songs; an alien language. Their instruments; a thing of myth.

So says the plot of London's We Will Rock You musical.

My friend Emma is a dresser working at the We Will Rock You show and for whatever reason, the hype about my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge had slipped right past her at first. It was only when she caught one of my Twitter updates that she was brought up to speed and felt Under Pressure to get involved.
Concluding that her own wardrobe bore no suitable apparel of the masculine persuasion (well, no T-shirts anyway), she turned to that of the theatre. The wardrobe department there was overloaded with perished fishnet stockings and devastated denim jackets, but sadly no tees up for grabs. But she was undeterred - The Show Must Go On!

Finally, she sauntered over to the gift shop, fluttered her eyelashes at the chap behind the counter and came away with this souvenir garment, making Day 106 of my challenge possible.

The design is simply the show's logo with a few additional flourishes, heat-pressed onto the fabric with a slightly raised, embossed edge, which if I'm perfectly honest, is a delight to stroke. It's A Kind Of Magic.

Thanks to Emma and indeed We Will Rock You for helping me get one step closer toward my goal. I Am A Champion.

Yeah that last one needs a bit of work...
