Day 226

It's Day 226 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge and the projection for successfully wearing a different T-shirt every day for a year has shifted more towards punch-me-in-the-face-and-buy-me-an-ice-cream territory. Basically, it's bitter-sweet. Lately I've begun to notice a change in donation habits from designers and retailers looking to get involved in the project.
Previously, interested parties would make themselves known once every couple of weeks or so and would send me a whacking great package bulging with tees; a multi-donation that would keep their brand recurring across the daily blog calendar whilst simultaneously ensuring my challenge would outlast the career of a balloon modelling cactus.
As the challenge has moved into summer however, the trend seems to have reconfigured itself as scattershot. Now many donators are appearing each week, sending just a tee or two from their collections. Ultimately, the balance is the same - the volume of tees is as before so the stock-level indicator in these posts is at a constant "OKAY" status, and it does mean I get a greater variety of brands and designs to promote on the blog, which is great! But the forecast in terms of longevity for the challenge under this regime gets murky - I now need to source new donators as quickly as I wear their tees...

I've got today covered thanks to my good friend Sarah who's kindly donated yet another tee that she found longing for a new lease of life. Her family are closely linked to Harlow Athletic Club with members either competing or officiating in competitions, so sourcing this tee was pretty straight forward for her. The T-shirt is a simple white garment with the Harlow Athletics Club logo embroided on the left breast.

Fun fact about Harlow Athletic Club: Andy Osagie is the club's most prominent claim to fame as he competed in last years Olympics. Even more impressively, the club can now add 'appearing in the THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge' to their list of achievements.
