The Festival Threesome - Day 235, Day 236, Day 237

Waheeeey!

A few weeks ago I broadcast an appeal (see e-flyer above) to secure three festival-based T-shirt donations to see me through the bank holiday weekend (well, tomorrow through Sunday anyway). This three day period covering Days 235, 236 and 237 is of particular importance to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge schedule as I'll be spending it camped out in a field watching the likes of Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro pound the airwaves of Reading with what promises to be a great summer festival. Weather permitting. (The weather will definitely not permit).

The moment I was fortunate enough to win tickets to the event, I scrambled to my blog to offer up the opportunity for donators to send T-shirts specifically to be worn during the Festival, in front of a live audience of thousands. I have now received them all - my Festival Threesome.

Here's how it's going to work:

Owing to a lack of available technology in the heart of nature, I'm not going to be able to construct my blog posts in the usual fashion. I'll have swapped PC screen for sun screen, power cables for guide cables and mega bytes for mosquito bites, meaning that writing and uploading posts will become extremely complex. Therefore, until I return, there will be no T-shirt posts for the challenge in the conventional format, however there will be a full write-up of the whole event and tees I wore once I get back to normality.
If you can't wait that long to find out which three brands stepped up to supply my Festival Threesome, you will be pleased to know that I aim to stream photos all day long of the each Festival Threesome tee and Reading Festival in general into the Festival Threesome Facebook album - so if you're not already a fan of the page, go and 'Like' that now by

clicking here.

So there you have it - a slight detour from the usual THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge protocol. Let's hope phone signal is something Reading has in abundance.
Oh, and some of the tees in the Festival Threesome are a little... bold. Not suitable for those of a sensitive disposition. Consider yourselves warned!

Day 234

Umbrella to shield me from this abysmal rain - check.

Wellies on and Converse packed, because they don't fit the other way around - check.

All of the belongings that don't fit in my wheelie case cocooned in gaffa tape *to* my wheelie case making me look like a borderline genius/mentalist - check.

A T-shirt donated by Mike of Masato proudly displayed for Day 234 - check.

I am ready.

Today marks the last day of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge before my Festival Threesome begins (details to follow in a post later this afternoon) and I wanted to look awesome as I rocked up in the pitch black, rain-sodden field tonight - I do believe I've achieved that.
The design on this T-shirt is titled 'Faces' and is one of several abstractly illustrated garments available from London-based Masato.
Six bright pink, block-drawn characters span the full height and width of the canvas, one of which has the Masato brand name scrawled within. The graffiti-resembling motifs and bold colours make for a hugely striking tee, which is likely to catch the attention of tonight's revellers with the same intrigue as the commuters on my train this morning.
That and my equally abstract mutant suitcase and wellies combo.
