Day 12

I’ll be honest; I possess no in-depth knowledge of the significance of this 5-point red star emblem. A quick scout around the Internet suggests that no one else does either, at least nothing definitive anyway. The most popular positioning of this emblem seems to be among matters of the former Soviet and communism, and not necessarily in a negative context. However, words like "Soviet" and "communism" are immediately steeped in negativity and so a T-shirt like this probably serves to fuel the commercialisation of the counter-culture fad perpetuated by the ailing intelligence and flourishing ignorance of today’s MTV generation.

Then again it may well be a promotional T-shirt for an ambitious start-up firm run by a slew of young, trendy, entrepreneurs calling themselves Red Dwarf after the common star entities found in our Milky Way galaxy. They’re probably a software company or something. Yeah, software, that’s big and trendy. That definitely explains why I found this tee rotting away in one of the most disease-ridden corners of Camden market.
