Day 8

Once upon a time, on one of my merry romps around London’s more unfamiliar streets, I happened upon a camping store with an irregularity in its window display.
Among the copious camouflaged attire and Gore-Tex lined footwear was a garment which had no business being surrounded by such drear. It was a bright yellow T-shirt, and even at a distance of a few paces, I could see that it had a highly detailed hand-drawn illustration framed nicely on the chest section.
Suitably impressed with the work, I entered the store.

To my amazement, amid the canteens and thermal ski pants, I found a trove of similar T-shirts sat upon a display gondola in the corner of the store. There were around 10 different illustrations by this artist, each printed on a variety of different coloured and different sized tees. I browsed the hoard for a long while before eventually settling on the original yellow T-shirt of this intriguing drawing of a London commuter surfacing from the Tube at a rather unexpected woodland paradise. The T-shirt is titled Last Destination and is filled with intricate drawings of plants, trees and even a deer, all surrounding a subway entrance.

I guess you could say it’s a design about a man on one of his merry romps around London’s more unfamiliar streets…
