I once did design work for a sports company based down in Brighton, producing web designs for the likes of MSN, Guinness, and Sega. Whilst there, I had the pleasure of meeting an extraordinary bloke named Roger.
Roger was a Senior Developer at the firm, who without fail, would at some point during the day retune the office radio from Six Music to Planet Rock.
I hadn't listened to Planet Rock before that, but I sure got my education handed to me when Roger welcomed me to the jungle, informed me that his boys were back in town and knew some deaf dumb and blind kid who sure played a mean pinball (though im still not entirely sure how he managed to do that).
Of late, old school rock giants from the archives have been clawing their way back to glory, selling out huge concert arenas across the country. With that in mind, I am spending today inside a T-shirt with the same capacity as a concert arena, donated to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge by Hannah at Planet Rock.
Look at it!
It's a monster!
It's single handedly encapsulated the collective attitude of 3 decades of hardcore head bangers in a single distressed graphic.
It's smothered in nostalgia and capped off with profanity - everything the station stands for, but do I care? Do I balls!
This is rock and roll baby!
I turned it up to 11 ages ago!
Someone show me where the bats are!
