Day 181

It's got to be said, Custom Ink haven't exactly donated the easiest batch of T-shirts for me to blog about! They've really put the 'challenge' in 'THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge' by sending me T-shirts of relatively ambiguous origin owing to them being products of third party involvement. By the time they get to me, they're stories are already third-hand so the truth of their purpose and worth is pure speculation on my part. In the past, when a fairly obscure Custom Ink donation surfaced from the package, I would have to hypothesise it's back story, spin a good yarn, throw in some anecdotes and before I knew it, I'd have a harmlessly absurd, entertaining blog post ready to cast out to cyber space.

Easy.

Today's Custom Ink donation is proving a little trickier to get down on paper however.

For Day 181 I am wearing a very modestly designed grey marl T-shirt promoting the organisation at LIFEpoint Church in Maryland, America. On the front of the garment is a print of the Church group logo device and on the back is the full logo and website address.
The problem I'm facing is, well, the 'Church' part.
Religion is a pretty hot button and depending on where you are and who you're with when you wield it means that pressing it needs to be done with instrumental tact. Of course, when I cook up one of my aforementioned entertaining blog anecdotes, the level of tact I muster tends to be far from adequate and ranges somewhere between 'white-knuckle' and 'nuclear'. My prediction is that merging someone's very serious religious ideals with my usual brand of off-the-wall comedy will cause some unintended offense to someone somewhere, and that it's probably safer to just side-step the whole subject altogether.

At least I'm wearing it on a Sunday.
