Day 184

Back on Day 181, I encountered a spot of trepidation attempting to objectively address the topic of religion in a THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge blog post. It's difficult to broach a subject like that in an entertaining manner that doesn't cause someone somewhere to resort to their angry-email-face. So far, I appear to have sailed by.

But that wasn't enough for Duncan from Ban T-shirts UK. He thought he'd throw Creationism into the mix to see how I'd handle that.
He's donated a fantastic third T-shirt to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge, this time a grass-green garment featuring several illustrated, unusually gleeful dinosaurs hoisting a banner marking their disapproval of Creationism.

Having never spoken to an actual dinosaur, I can only speculate their grievances, but I've got a pretty solid theory about what's bothered them.
About 65 million years ago, God looked down into his toy box and watched as a stegosaurus chomped on a fern, the same as he'd done yesterday and the day before that. A velociraptor jumped onto a rock and two of those hard-skulled ones did that head butting thing.
Also, the T-rex still couldn't play the banjo.
Quite standard prehistoric stuff.

Eventually, God lost his temper.
"This is rubbish!", God yelled in frustration. "You lot haven't even worked out fire yet, it's been right under your noses this whole bloody time! None of you have even attempted to design the iPad either! That's it! The questions on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will be far more interesting if you lot were dead".
With that, God let out a mighty sigh of boredom, which was so cold it completely froze the toy box and killed off all the dinosaurs.
Though not the crocodiles.
Crocodiles are hardcore.

Ban T-shirts UK make no bones about the controversy factor of their designs. Stark statements are the bread and butter of this retailer, so stirring a 65 million year old debate is certainly not out of their remit.
