Day 263

Ah London.
Good old London.
I really enjoyed growing up in London and continue to enjoy living and working there today.

Of course, it's mostly terrible.

To survive there, you have to look past the pollution, the permanent atmosphere of rain, the overcrowded pavements filled with idiots who haven't got a clue what they're doing, the constant threat of death from vehicles that hurtle at you from all directions, the stench of disease around that bit near Charing Cross where the homeless drunks urinate on the pigeons, the witless tourists who walk so slowly they're practically going backwards in time, the poxy newspaper vendors who try to climb into your face, the abrasive nature of absolutely everyone, the general lack of service everywhere, the inability to afford anything, the City Boys, the rapists, the rats, the muggers, the drug dealers, the place, the people and the fact that anyone has to go there.

Fortunately, I'm leaving all of that far behind me this week, save for the illustration on today's THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge tee by Pull & Bear. Illustrated London is a whole different story, why, even I've come to terms with how inspiring London can be in an artistic sense when I put together my Perfect Day collection of illustrated canvases, which can be purchased from my online shop by the way.

In Day 263's rendition of London, Big Ben stands proudly against a dusky pink backdrop of water colour splashes, as a hot air balloon saunters over the London Eye, probably full of drugged up City Boys and confused tourists who thought they were queuing for Madame Tussauds.
