Day 46

Today's T-shirt is one of my very own designs based on a pretty unusual concept that never really went anywhere. As a sub category on my Banded design service website, I'd created a page for Festighoul, a fictitious music festival aimed at zombie enthusiasts.

I'll give you a moment to allow the notion of that to sink in.

Though an interesting idea that generated some cracking imagery during my downtime between freelance projects, it wasn't exactly a winner, so now it sits stagnating around the bottom of Google's underwear somewhere. But that didn't stop me banging out a few promotional T-shirt designs at the time, including the one above - an undead front man taking up the classic reanimated-hand-smashing-through-grave-plot-earth stance, whilst brandishing his trusty microphone.
The drawing style is slightly naive and comic-like, with a colour palette limited to four luminous tones for effective screen printing.
My brother and I are the only two people in the world who own one of these tees...

Yep, the idea really wasn't a winner

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
