Day 108

I have just received this fantastic donated T-shirt all the way from China!

Wow!
China.
Can you believe that!?
The land of T-shirts; the home of tourist battle-wear.

OK, I'll be honest, it's not exactly as it sounds. The T-shirt has come all the way from China and it genuinely was donated to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge. But I have lead you up the oriental garden path a bit by insinuating that the tee was a direct submission to my project from someone in the Far East. The truth is, no one in China connected with this garment knows its destiny here in England, and it is doubtful that they have even heard about my challenge, unless Alicia decided to head up some freestyle marketing for me.

Alicia is a friend of mine who has recently returned from annual leave. There is no prize on offer for guessing where she has been, or what additional items accompanied her luggage on her journey back.

Full of enthusiasm for my project, Alicia spent the entire duration of her holiday sourcing T-shirts to purchase and donate, which is a greatly appreciated gesture. As you can see, one of those T-shirts has adorned me for Day 108, and it was chosen, she tells me, solely for its humorous use of 'Chinglish'.

Jaines Gioiant Peach is the classic Roald Dahl tale about a bitterly depressed boy looking to escape from his domestic captivity. He achieves this by befriending an oversized expired peach that happened to be DJing nearby. Despite the peach's advanced state of decomposition, it's beats were still fresh, and Jaines was able to reinvent himself as a mouldy clubbing legend.

Thanks Alicia!

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
