I've just suffered another minor heart attack brought on by an errant spate of déjà vu. As I began writing this post for Day 291's My Yard branded T-shirt this morning, I realised I'd already written it. Once before. A few months ago.
As a cold sweat set in I scrolled furiously through my published blog entries, much like I did on Day 140 when the same damn thing happened back then too, desperately hoping not to find a picture of myself looking proud and beaming inside the very same T-shirt I'm wearing today. Even my wife helped ramble through the entire blog in a bid to preserve my sanity.
Two complete scans later and the coast was clear; this T-shirt is definitely not a repeat-wear, and so the THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge is not lying in pieces. So why the familiarity?
It took me a while to remember but I did eventually recall what happened. I did once write a post for this street-art inspired tee some time ago. I'd written it on the plane whilst flying out for my wedding, with a view to wear the tee during the trip. I didn't want to distract myself from the obviously more pressing wedding matters that were going on by having to conjure prose for blog posts, so I wrote a number of them ahead of time. The complication arose when I didn't get to wear this T-shirt on its allotted day because Day 146's T-shirt took its place.
The bright red, alluring and altogether spontaneous T-shirt was a gift from one of my wedding guests and in my blissfully happy, post-nuptials state of mind, I allowed it to jump the queue. It was an impromptu wear, but owing to it's wedding theme, was totally justified at the time, however it meant that this impressively illustrated stereo/robot/transformer T-shirt had to return to the stockpile until a later day. Today. Day 291.
So without further ado, I present what should have been Day 146's T-shirt.
