Day 174

Mickey Mouse, the loveable, care-free, and overtly jolly imagining of Walt Disney is the epitome of pleasantness.
Usually.
Today though, he is angrier than a can of tigers and would probably kick every small child he encountered in the face as he wandered the Magic Kingdom.

And what exactly has riled the cartoon critter to the point of rage? If had to guess, I’d say it was the absence of his trademark ears from today’s THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge T-shirt.
Those famous bulbous lugholes are the cornerstone of the Disney brand empire, featuring on all items of merchandise from keyrings to, well, large plastic ears.
Without his ears, Mickey’s unique visual identity is significantly diminished. I mean, were it not for his red shorts, one would be forgiven for assuming the character on this T-shirt was Sonic The Hedgehog standing around with the lights off.
To be stripped of your identity when you are the world’s most well-known topless mouse is an outrage, and I completely empathise with Mickey over this atrocity. If he could hear me, I’d tell him.

Despite the curious design choice, I am pleased to have this tee among my 365. It was donated to the challenge by my Mum and has helped me strike one more day off the calendar.

Thanks Mum!

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
