Day 299

Hipster
n. Slang
One who is exceptionally aware of or interested in the latest trends and tastes.
A person who is hip.

Nope. No mention of chimps there. But the term 'person' could probably be stretched to fit the bill – we're all related when you get down to it.
So for Day 299 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T shirt challenge I am wearing the [lost count, there have been so many!]th fantastic T shirt donation from Richard over at 8ball.co.uk entitled Hipster Chimp. Found under the Funny T-shirts category of the retailer's website, this design is packed with retro flavour. Everything right down to the choice of fabric colour has been considered to give this T shirt a proper feeling of nostalgia.
Far from square (he's in a circle), the chimp at the heart of the design is having a great time and perfectly embodies the principles of being hip. From what I understand, it is tremendously on trend to adorn oversized, novelty, non-prescription eyewear whilst aping the latest facial hijinks of Miley Cyrus. In the case of that latter trait, it's probably for the best that we can't also see what the chimp is wearing.

As with all the 8ball.co.uk T shirts donated to my project, this is another high quality, comfortable, well-fitting garment, though unlike the others, this one has the unwarranted side effect of making me want to grow grotesquely unmanaged facial hair and procure socks of a much higher colour saturation.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
