Day 49

For Day 49 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge, I am wearing a second T-shirt donated by Jay from Realm. Once again this package has been shipped across from California, bearing all the hallmarks of a fantastic carefree summer's day, which is why I’ve opted to wear it on another bleak, soul-crushingly miserable, British February day. Sure the sun's out, but it's not fooling anybody - I still left the house in a scarf and gloves this morning, and the only surfing I'll be doing today is online.

In a similar theme to Jay’s last tee, the focus of this design takes place within a frame created by the brand’s three-crested wave logo, revealing a photograph of a trio of surfers toting boards, walking along the beach under the late-afternoon sun. The red-through-yellow spectrum of colours in the image really contrast nicely against the khaki green fabric of the T-shirt and the white stroke and drop-shadow effects offer the whole piece more strength.
Beneath the image is the strapline "since nineteen ninety nine", which denotes when Realm began testing the water.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
