Day 54

So it's Day 54 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge and I'll begin with some relatively startling news. A brief assessment of T-shirt mountain in the corner of my office has revealed that daily wearing erosion has declassified the mound to 'hill' status, meaning that the Stock Level indicator at the foot of this post has been bumped down to 'okay'. That's not the end of the world; I have enough to coast along for a month or two, but I haven't had any new T-shirt donations for a while now so I will need to ramp up the promotion again.

For today though I am interested in a different mountain; one typically offset from the text reading 'Quiksilver'. I picked up this black Quiksilver tee in the Bromley branch of TKMaxx last year as I was drawn to the heavily distressed print and staggered lettering set against the aqua/yellow/violet checked patternation that Quiksilver often use in their design work. The final line of text is punctuated by their well recognised wave and mountain logo positioned in a circle.

I'm sure you'll agree that this is a very cool design and one that sits comfortably within my surplus of other surf and boardsport tees.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
