Humps for 40 yards.
Elderly people.
Cows.
These are all things that the Highway Code conveys through symbology a desire for motorists not to crash in to. And rightly so.
Another candidate to be considered for the Code could well be the signage seen on today's T-shirt - a promotional graphic I put together for my Banded design service a few years ago.
When passing a Banded venue, festival or nightspot, one should adopt heightened levels of caution as inebriated partygoers with traffic cones on their heads may be moving erratically in the street, leering at you suddenly from the kerbside, or grazing in herds at fast food outlets. These are an easily spooked species, prone to uncoordinated urination and spontaneous outbursts of abuse. Please be alert.
It's high time the Highway Code acknowledged the inherent dangers of driving during the frivolous hours of these creatures and employed the necessary measures to warn motorists appropriately. I propose a T-shirt campaign to kick things off.
