I don't know who Stu is.
I also don't know who Katherine is.
In fact, I don't know who most of the people are who donate to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge, but in particular, I do not know Stu and Katherine.
Despite this, Stu and Katherine are actually very integral people to my project, as thanks to them, I now have a T-shirt to see me through Day 177. And the best part is, they are strangers. Absolutely, completely, wouldn't-know-who-they-were-if-I-woke-up-and-found-them-making-me-breakfast, strangers.
They are the first non-T-shirt affiliated donators to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge who aren't friends or family.
That is fantastic!
Word of my project has spread far and wide and when it reached Katherine's ears she became so captivated with my plight that she immediately kicked Stu out of bed and made him root around in his wash bin for some garments to part with.
What he produced was this white Vietnamese article with prints on both the front and back.
In the centre of the chest is some sort of illustrated fast-food vortex; rows upon rows of burgers and egg rolls twirling on a wheel of calorie-based fortune. On the back is a little more explanation - the branding of Kim Cafe Tourist - a collective of Vietnamese tour guides.
Presumably Stu and Katherine were once guides for the company, leading tourists around oriental temples, waterfalls and the occasional elephant, but jacked it all in for gloomy retails parks, hailstorms and the occasional great crested newts, all because they discovered Kim Cafe Tourist had nothing at all to do with cafes.
Thanks Stu.
Thanks Katherine.
Whoever you are.
