Day 217

It's Day 217 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge and I've decided to spend it wearing this chocolate coloured Atticus tee that I've owned for many years now. It's been duly elected as my favourite Atticus tee owing to its comfortable fit, the longevity of its print and the aesthetically pleasing, earthy use of colour in its design.
The Atticus brand name sits proudly across the chest in white lowercase bold type amid a composition of olive green illustrated fragments scattered above and below. The fragments are styled as though from a montage of ornate foliage - a feature often found in Atticus work produced around this time (cica 2008). And of course the well-known dead bird logo is outlined among the illustration.

I'll be honest with you, I'm not sure why I'm wearing this T-shirt today. I regard it as one of my "nicer" specimens and should probably have reserved it for a day of more worthy pursuits than a standard Monday at my desk. Though I've certainly had some good times wearing it in the past; I once wore it during a game of football down on Bournemouth beach where I ended up breaking my friend Paul's arm.
Classic.
Do you know how difficult it is to find an ice pack on Bournemouth beach by the way, or medical assistance of any kind for that matter? I nearly convinced Paul to wade out into the sea and pretend to drown just so a life guard would turn up and we could explain about the arm. Come to think of it, Paule may well have actually drowned with a busted arm and a life guard would have been required all the more.

I didn't purposefully wear this tee to break his arm you understand, nor did I purposefully break his arm. And I suppose I shouldn't have introduced that anecdote with the pretence of it being "a good time". But it certainly was memorable. Unlike anything that will transpire at my desk today.

Unless I break someone's arm...

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
