According to the IdiotGenius website, Hank Williams is the original IdiotGenius. He completely changed the face of country music during his short career and then managed to get himself divorced, rejected from his label and then killed from alcohol poisoning in the backseat of a car (which is prominently displayed in a museum for tourists to visit).
For Day 364 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge, I am wearing the final T-shirt of the IdiotGenius marathon, which has taken me nicely up to the penultimate day of the whole THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE project!
As you can see, the T-shirt features a beautifully illustrated design celebrating the life (and especially death) of singer Hank Williams. His black and white portrait is framed with complex doodles and imagery bearing the design hallmarks of many-a-poster from the 1920s era, each with a slant towards his darker side that ultimately got the better of him. His demons and vices theme the artwork and given the recent penchant for skulls in contemporary art and fashion, this tee is bang on trend. It's a brilliant tee to complete the IdiotGenius marathon - thanks very much to Max at the brand for all the donations!
