It’s Day 124 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge – just a little over 4 months of back-to-back, non-repeated T-shirt wearing and I’m pleased to report that everything is still going perfectly. Donations are trickling in at a steady rate and those who are getting involved are doing so generously, sending multiple T-shirts at a time. I’d like to extend a really huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, you’re all keeping me on track with my target!
Today is a day of quiet contemplation and steady shuffling through my web design workload. I pulled on this summer time T-shirt to embrace the beautifully bright conditions that greeted me upon awaking this morning, but sadly those conditions have subsided into ferociously strong winds and grey skies, so I’ll have to celebrate the summer indoors at my desk.
The T-shirt in question is this bright yellow Quiksilver product from my own wardrobe, purchased a few years ago from a surf-brand clothing outlet whose title currently alludes me. The Quiksilver text is broken into two fragments; the first is the “Quik” portion depicted as a grey tubular outline, textured with a substantial amount of dripped and sprayed graffiti effects, and the second is the “silver” portion which has been scratched in a white font over the top of the grey portion, along with some cross and star details.
Like most of the skate/surf clothing in my collection, this is another testament to the aesthetically reckless and care-free. The fit is good, the colours are bold and I am definitely feeling the sunshine, even if the global atmosphere is not.
