Day 301

For Day 301 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge I am wearing another donation from Dan at Hampshire based Resurgence Tees. It's a tremendously surreal design entitled Brave New World and was apparently inspired by the song 'Rainbow Veins ' by band Owl City. I've never heard the song, but judging by this T-shirt artwork, it must be pretty mental.
Dan tells me that the core theme behind the art is 'journey', which I find highly ironic, given that that is precisely what I'm not having today. Normally by now, I'd be composing my T-shirt blog post from the unbearable horror that is the arduous commute to my office, but because of the deadly biblical storm currently destroying the country outside, I've had to remain housebound until the trains are deemed fit to run again.

Resurgence Tees have a host of T-shirt categories and quite rightly, this tee can be found under the Abstract link. The sky blue backdrop is awash with cloud-like swirls that partially obscure a figure composed of hollow geometric linework, revealing his rainbow veins. Overall, the scene is dreamlike and quite tranquil. It is a direct juxtaposition of the tree-slinging, car burning, carnage outside my window, though on the plus side, the sun has emerged, so we may well see some rainbows after all.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
