I've noticed recently that for someone who isn't one of those nutbag fanatics over them, the volume of camper vans to appear on my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge blog has been unintentionally high. By my count, Day 194's T-shirt bears an impressive fourth rendition of the vehicle, though to be fair to it, it is the original. This T-shirt has been in my possession for approximately 10 years and is still in good working order. It was only decommissioned last October; cast into the recycling bin to make way for more contemporary successors, but I brought it back from retirement for one last hurrah - a chance to feature in my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge. How ironic then that it would feature such a classic icon that has had its hey-day hype restored.
Today's installment of VW goodness comes in the form of an Animal branded tee, where indeed, the camper van illustration itself is Animal branded. Now cracked and faded after a decade of wear, the modest print in the centre of this tee serves to remind me of how I came to develop my own sense of appearance; where I began carving my groove in the vast plank of fashion. Of all the possible "looks" I could have pursued as a teenager coming into his own, I was accosted by the surf/skate T-shirt sector, beginning with this Animal relic.
