Day 285

Sarah from men's fashion retailer Jacamo has been an absolute star and sent yet another fantastic donation to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge from the Amplified range available for purchase from their online shop.

The faded-black garment features a full-front canvas print of an upturned American flag, dirtied with grime and fringed with destruction, so much so that the effigy of a skull has formed in the centre of the overall vintage finish. The construction of the tee is also interesting as a altered stitching around the neckline has left a raw edge detail. Barely visible below the image is the legend 'From The Darkness'; a chillingly apt sentiment given that Halloween is on the approach.

With regards to the patriotism, the design and slogan coupling may well represent the country's resilience to the plight of attack it's been faced with in recent years; though the citizens have been taken down they have not been taken out - that sort of public spirited motivational messaging.

This is just one of the great T-shirt examples that Jacamo has to offer from its vast men's fashion ranges for Britain.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
