The other evening, while stumbling drunk around London trying to find my way home, two plumes of cloudy hydraulic discharge fell either side of me from overheard. Relatively unusual stuff.
Seconds later, I was engulfed in a blinding shower of greenish blue light that increased in intensity until I could no longer see, accompanied by a floating, lifting sensation and low rhythmic hum.
The next thing I remember was waking up in my bed the following morning absolutely covered in bruises; huge angry bruises all over my arms and legs.
It dawned on me upon waking that perhaps something out of the ordinary had taken place last night. Something out of this world.
A few days later I hoisted this T-shirt out of its package donated to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge by Mark at Fresh Brewed Tee, a T-shirt retailer based over in New Jersey, USA with an impressive range of designs.
I was aghast. I literally fell backwards out of my seat, knocking the mash-potato sculpture I was working on to the floor.
The artwork designed by Pacalin printed on this Fresh Brewed Tee garment depicts exactly what I experienced on that night. I remembered it all immediately. That rhythmic hum. That sound of an over-sized 3D Space Invader dashing overhead, descending, passing, descending, passing.
This is what they do, when they win I mean. When they successfully escape the barrage of jagged ammunition thrown up at them by frontline defence tanks. They descend until they reach street level and then they entrap humans in their beam. Their snaring ray of pain. They abduct them, carry them over to Moorgate Tube station and hurl them down an escalator that's moving in the opposite direction...
You don't believe me do you?
