Day 73

Thanks to Ash of startup service Graphic Tide, another day has been smashed off of my challenge calendar. The brand new line of tees from the UK's own Graphic Tide includes this intriguing article, along with a whole heap of others fresh from the printing press. I'd be lion if I said I wasn't impressed with how the king of the jungle looks here. Yep, I made that joke.

Upon this almost luminous, very brave orange canvas is the profile of an equally brave lion's face, composed entirely from artistic slashes and drips of ink. The use of layered, deliberately overlapped colouring gives the design some pretty incredible depth, achieving a more solid feel to the illustration.

The design is one of the contributions to the website as part of their artist-to-garment printing service, offering designers the opportunity to get their work transformed from portfolio stuffers into ready to wear T-shirt gold.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
