Day 77

On the eve of November 28th 2008, I was standing in what was then called the Brixton Carling Academy watching New Found Glory play as part of The Easycore Tour. The setlist was comprised of tracks from an array of their albums, but interestingly, not many from their most recent release at the time Catalyst . They also used the tour to showcase efforts from their own side project (which is a concept still lost on me) International Superheroes of Hardcore.

Just before leaving the venue after the show, I swung by the merchandise booth (as I often do at a gig) and picked up the T-shirt I’m sporting today.
On the front is the band name, disjointed and heavily distressed, set against a montage of red and blue grungy paint effects and a couple of church spire illustrations. On the reverse is the obligatory tour schedule for Easy Core running from top to bottom.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
