Day 176

Here's something you may already know; I got married a couple of weeks ago.
Hooray!

Wait, there's more.

What you probably didn't know is that my marriage will harness the strength of the sun and will subsequently be warm and loving, as well as prosperous with fortunes.
Hooray!

I have it on good authority that these somewhat supernatural promises are indeed accurate and are coming my way, as (whether she intended to or not) my friend Alicia blessed me with as much by donating this T-shirt to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge. You see, in ancient Chinese lore, when the Dragon and Phoenix symbols are paired together as they are on Day 176's T-shirt design, they represent all of the aforementioned wonderful things, especially in a congratulatory context to newly weds.
Granted, when Alicia picked up this tee from the 10-a-yuan market stall in China she saw it displayed on, she did so for no other reason than its use of quintessential Chinese rhetoric which made it look 'chinesey' enough to evidence her travels there.
She had no idea how apt it's underlying message might be to my recent nuptials or that by giving it to me she had encouraged a fictional beast to breath hot fiery sentiments of joy over my wife and I. But the fact is she did and that's what's going to happen.

So thanks to Alicia's generous third donation to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge, I am another Tuesday closer to reaching my goal and have a Phoenix monitoring my bank account.

Thanks Alicia!

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
