For Day 275 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge I am wearing this cracking debut donation from laFraise, which once again features a cat with headgear, only less ferocious than yesterday's.
Nathalie over at Europe's professional T-shirt design community and I have been speaking for some time now and I've arrived at the reasonable conclusion that she is as passionate about T-shirts as I am; she couldn't wait to get involved in my project and donate some of the quirky designs submitted by the user community over at laFraise. She's also featured an interview with me about my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge on the laFraise blog which I recommend you read immediately after this post.
The Spreadshirt owned platform works on a T-shirt design contest basis. Each week, illustrators and designers are invited to submit any image they've created as a potential candidate for T-shirt stardom. Their designs are showcased to the whole community who 'vote' for the imagery they like the look of. The highest scoring tees at the end of the week get turned into physical printed T-shirts available for purchase directly from the website, funding the artists in the process. It's a pretty neat idea for us starving creatives.
One illustrator from the laFraise design community who did exactly this was ndikol, who submitted this Cheshire Cat design entitled Catch Me If You Can. ndikol has loads of designs available for preview under their laFraise profile and they each predominantly feature a cartoon aesthetic like this Alice In Wonderland classic.
