Day 288

See! I told you!

Well actually Oscar Wilde told you.

But I concur...

This T-shirt is me all over. When I pulled this donation out of the packet sent by Martin at Essex based Worm Sign, I crumpled under the weight of my own grin.
I am possibly one of the world's most prolific pessimists, hailing counterculture and deploring near enough everything I encounter at every turn. I'm only 28 years old but I'm very comfortable to live out the rest of my life with my affirmation that generally speaking, everyone is a moron.
In some cases, this is not the fault of the individual but that of their environment. The lifestyles they're exposed to, the messages that bombard them, and how susceptible they are to the ideals being dictated to them all amount to a collection of ridiculous behavioural traits that are easily adoptable and shamelessly flaunted. None-to-surprisingly the major carrier of this disease is entertainment media. It's the reason why people 'vote' for glorified karaoke singers on TV, sing along to 'music' tracks about 'humps' and 'twerks' and 'G-6s' on the radio, and dress like charity shop explosions because it's 'popular to be alternative'. That last observation just opened a black hole somewhere...

Being as Worm Sign's target market is DJs, clubbers and music enthusiasts alike, I will assume the focus of this tee is aimed at chart music, churning out the same uninspired glut week in, week out. If you buy it, you perpetuate it. Wake up people!!!

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
