Day 307

I’m not sure if many people will be able to relate to this, but I've found it to be a relief to not have to spend another day with a mask made from a T-shirt sewn to my face. Don’t get me wrong – yesterday was great fun and gave me a creative opportunity to work my rigid challenge apparel guidelines around the more liberal outfit mechanic of Halloween. But having my vision impaired every other 3 seconds at the mercy of the wind thrusting the poorly positioned eyeholes all over the place, lost its appeal quite early in the day. And by the evening, I discovered that drinking beer is a task that should be unhindered by obstructive layers of fabric if it is to be enjoyed properly.

Whereas the design of yesterday's T-shirt was at the height of complexity, Day 307's lies at the simple end of the spectrum. It’s a plain blue Quiksilver article with a modest central motif conveying the brand name, the company’s logo device and qualifier strapline "Boardriding Company".
It’s a T-shirt I’ve owned for around 10 years and has done well to stand the test of time, though I rarely wear it of late (and not just because of the THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge). It's a very comfortable and uncomplicated T-shirt which is ideal for a lazy Sunday.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
