Day 324

Everyone's favourite guerrilla street artist Banksy has recently completed his unofficial month-long residency in New York. Throughout October, he has been all over the city, erecting stencil-based graffiti and orchestrating satirical performance art, all without consent from authorities.
All of the work created during his residency can be tracked across his website, but what interests me in particular are his souvenir T-shirts. A hi-res downloadable file of a T-shirt design aping the famous "I [heart] NY" slogan has been made available to access free of charge from his website, encouraging people to create their own gift-shop memorabilia for the open-air 'gallery' show.

Ronnie from Banksy T-shirts has taken the opportunity to reproduce the open-source design on high quality T-shirts and act as a vendor for the residency. He's been kind enough to donate one of the official/unofficial tees to my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE challenge. In true Banksy style the artwork is warped a little; the heart is in fact an inflatable balloon that's been repaired time and again by plasters and patches.

None-too-surprisingly, Cornwall based Banksy T-shirts features a full range of the artist's most recognised work spanning his career reprinted on T-shirts in all colours and sizes.

See more from Banksy T-shirts via their Twitter account.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
