Day 356

For Day 2 of the IdiotGenius marathon and indeed, Day 356 of my THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE T-shirt challenge, I am wearing this dark garment smothered in a purple graffiti typeface. Behind the prominent text, the silhouette of one MC Hammer can be seen executing one of his famed dance maneuvers.

This T-shirt tells the story of what happens when a commercial entity (say, a record producer) and a creative entity (say, a recording artist) negotiate property between themselves.
In 1991, MC Hammer wrote a pop song which he entitled 'Master Of Ceremonies Hammer Is Far Too Legitimate To Cease His Current Activities At This Time'. Proud of his efforts, Hammer presented the work to his production company who approved of the piece for the most part.

"There is just one thing we want to change" said the production executive.
"Oh?" replied Hammer.
"Yes, the track title is a little long. We were thinking you could cut it back to 'Too Legit To Quit'"

Pause.

"You win this round production executive."

And so history was made.

IdiotGenius have a number of outrageously alternative designs available to buy so take a look at the retailer's website today.

THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE Project

Hi, I’m Andi Best and I’m a regular guy, rising to an irregular challenge.

People tell me I have a lot of T-shirts. These people are not wrong, it’s true, I do.

But one person went as far as to tell me I have so many T-shirts, I could probably wear a different one every day. This is obviously not true, but it got me thinking - what if I could wear a different T-shirt every day? What if I never wore the same T-shirt twice for an entire year?

Challenge accepted

I have created project THREEHUNDREDANDSIXTEEFIVE which, beginning January 1st 2013, will track my pro gress sourcing and wearing a different T-shirt every day for the next 365 days – and I’m going to need your help to do it…
